Alright… So I got more money… I can spend around a grand on this, maybe a little bit more. I’ve picked out the stuff I want, did some research on the items, read a lot of reviews(Who knows the items better than the customer who buys it, right?)
And anyway, here are the things I am thinking about buying, what do you guys think?
1. Sony 50w x4 in-dash CD Deck – $ 160
2. Alpine 500w class D mono MOSFET amp with adjustable crossover – $ 200
3. Alpine 12inch Dual-Voice-Coil4-ohm sub – $ 200
(I’m only buying one sub for now, and when I have more money saved up, I’ll buy another one)
4. Fierce Audio 12inch Dual Sealed sub enclosure – $ 100
5. Alpine – Type-S 6″x9″ 3-way coaxial car speakers with poly-mica cones – $ 120
And what money I have left over is going for the installation fee.
Is this a decent set-up? If not, what needs to be replaced with what and etcetc… Thanks a lot for the advice!
Oh, and by the way, my car is a 92 Pontiac Sunbird 2d coupe if it matters.

Gah, ok. That pioneer deck is gunna cost around $ 140.
The enclosure is only $ 40, and if all fails with that then I’ll have on customized.
Also, I’m taking the advice on the two-way speakers since I’m hooking them up to my head unit and I have no idea what I’m doing and need all the advice I can get lol

Instead of the sony deck, I would get a Pioneer they are way better. If the sub you are gonna buy is a alpine type r, then that alpine amp would only be able to supply enough power to that one sub. If you are getting that sealed enclosure make sure each sub has it’s own chamber, because if you are just gonna have one sub and the chamber is not divided in half, it will be like having a sub in your trunk without a box, in other words its gonna sound like crap. Only get a one chamber dual sealed box if you already have to subs.
